WATER COUNTRY USA

This is a little backwards, but this was at the END of the day at Water Country. Another beautiful day in Williamsburg!!!

Charlie didn't even make it out of the park for lunch before falling asleep. He was happy to find a soft spot on the grass to take a real nap.

A much needed lunch break. Thankfully, we were able to park right in front of a nice grassy area that was perfect for a picnic.

Lunch time! Andrew chills out waiting to get back in & ride some more water slides!!!

THIS is the infamous Lemon Drop. It doesn't look like much, but it's a BLAST! The best part is watching the big guys (like Norm & JD) "drop" into the water & completely drench everyone nearby. The expressions on their faces is almost as much fun as going down it yourself......which I got to do this year since I wasn't pregnant!!! :)

This was so cute. JD, CJ, & Norm were in line to go on the Rampage which is one of those slides that go STRAIGHT DOWN. Anyway, the older kids went on to the wave pool, but Joey & Riley had to wait with us. They sat so nicely just talking & waiting patiently. When the guys got up to the top, they watched & cheered enthusiastically.

Just another view....

As promised, this is the "piece of humanity" Norm captured on our trip to Water Country USA. Andrew actually spotted it first, after about 2 minutes in the park. I had to quickly whip out my camera so Norm could follow this guy to get a good picture. Sorry for those of you who don't appreciate this kind of stuff, but it's always good to see Norm having a good time.

HAPPY BABY

This was at the Yankee Candle Factory store during the Hickory Dickory Dock show, but this is also how Lindsay was almost all week long. Except when she's hungry or tired, we are blessed to have a happy little girl. And lots of love from her big brothers helps a little too - thanks Andrew!! :)

Andrew couldn't decide on which souvenir to get - the crazy hat or the gun. Since we've got several guns like this at home, he decided on the crazy hat. For some reason, it seems to suit him just right!!! :) Crazy kid!!!

Charlie finds the Thomas train table wherever we are - if it's in the store, he'll find it!

Joey & CJ stop for a picture. The kids are all having so much fun together!!!

Joey & Charlie in the Christmas Shop at the Yankee Candle store. It snows every 15 minutes in this room - very nice on a hot summer day!!! :)

For those of you who know my husband well, you'll appreciate this next series of photos. This is another of Norm's favorite things to do at the beach. I think at every public beach (at least in America) there is one of these guys searching for buried treasure in the sand. Norm is always happy to "contribute" to their experience by dropping small change & watching them excitedly search when they hear the "hit" sound in their headphones. My favorite picture, though, is of Norm's happy face at his success.

Norm hangs out, nonchalantly, in the background while dude picks up the buried treasure he dropped.

After he found the first few coins, he was SURE there had to be more.

YEAH!!! Our annual Williamsburg vacation started out great with a day at Virginia Beach. Lindsay fit right in - she LOVED the beach. That's my girl!! :)

Lindsay liked the sand so much, she thought she'd taste it!! It doesn't look like it's bothering her in this picture, but it didn't take long for her to start gagging. She was a real trooper, though. We washed it out with a little water & she was as good as new - back to the sand!

Charlie took a little while to get acclimated to the beach scene, but when he did he had a great time playin' in the sand. It was a BEAUTIFUL day.

Marc just chillin' on the beach.

Andrew doing what he does best - crashing waves & flirtin' with the girls!!! Thanks for being a good sport, Taylor.

Joey & Charlie just being silly boys. And don't even ask about what Charlie is wearing. That was Marc's doing - I think he was bored or something. And can you find the "Say No to Crack" in this picture??? Looking for good detective eyes out there!!!! I didn't even know I was taking this --- gross!!!!!

And the big boys at play on the beach. This was just as we were leaving yesterday & cleaning up trash around us. Norm & JD thought it would be more fun to FEED the birds than clean up!!!!! Silly boys.

Awww.....someday this picture will make me sad, but right now it just makes me smile. I love how Lindsay has her eyebrows raised at me - HA!

And Joey didn't get to play on a team this year, but he still managed to improve his skills. Grandpa Russell took a few minutes away from Marc & Andrew's game last Saturday to play catch - thanks Grandpa!!

Charlie was fascinated by the machine that cleaned the RR tracks ---- actually I think Grandpa Russell was a little fascinated too. So they HAD to get a closer look. This was Charlie's favorite field we played on because the trains literally ran right beside us. He hears trains whistle from miles away now.

I just thought this was the sweetest thing. Lindsay was a little fussy while we waited between games, so Marc took her out of the stroller to go "hang out with the guys" for a little bit. I think they all enjoyed it as much as she did. As long as she's got her big brother's arms around her, it's fine with me.

Charlie stops to pose for a picture too. It was a little chilly this particular morning, so he had to wear Marc's t-shirt over his tank top for a little while. GO COMETS!!!

Lindsay, however, wasn't struggling at all during this game. This was how she spent most of this season --- happy, happy, happy. My little girl LOVES to be outside watching all the action around her. Check out those little teeth too! :)

The final baseball pictures from this season

Our team was struggling during this game & I happened to catch Marc looking thoughtful on the sidelines waiting for his turn to bat or get back on the field. I just thought it was kind of a cool picture.
